Privacy
Weatheria works without accounts. We use Google Analytics to measure traffic.
Who is responsible
Fusion Media, s.r.o. is responsible for this website. Contact: [email protected].
Cookies and analytics
We use Google Analytics 4 (Google Ireland Ltd.) to measure traffic. It sets cookies (_ga, _ga_*) that are kept for up to two years. Google may process the data in the USA under the EU–US Data Privacy Framework. Advertising features and Google signals are switched off. You can block or delete cookies in your browser settings. Fonts and icons are served from our own server. When you close the cookie notice, we store a cookie (wx_notice) for five years so that it does not appear again.
Stored on your device
Saved cities, recently viewed cities and your unit settings are kept in your browser’s local storage. They never leave your device and you can delete them at any time by clearing site data.
Your location
We ask for your location only when you press “Use my location”. The coordinates are sent once to our server to find the nearest city in our catalog. They are not stored, not logged and not shared.
Usage statistics
We count anonymous events such as “a city was saved” as daily totals, and we keep the text of searches that found no place for 90 days to improve the catalog. No identifiers, IP addresses or locations are attached to these counts.
Server logs
Like any web server, ours records technical access logs (including IP address, time and requested page) to operate and secure the service. They are kept for a limited time and are not used for profiling. For rate limiting we use a short-lived, salted hash instead of IP addresses.
Service providers
Our pages are delivered through Cloudflare, which processes connection data to deliver and protect the site. Google processes usage data for Google Analytics. Weather data is fetched by our server from a weather data service; your personal data is not sent there.
Your rights
Under the GDPR you have the right to access, rectification, erasure and objection, and to lodge a complaint with a supervisory authority. Contact the operator using the details above.
